Learn to Skate Updated Policies

The Ice Den Chandler is committed to offering our nationally recognized Learn to Skate program.  Adjustments to program policies and requirements have been made to ensure a safe environment for all skaters and coaches. Any previous policies have been replaced indefinitely.

Until Further Notice:

  • Registration MUST be completed online.  No paper forms will be accepted.
  • Registration will be available by session only.  No multi-session discounts will be offered.
  • Additional class and sibling discounts are not offered.
  • Masks optional for all skaters and spectators.  

Additional rink guidelines are noted below:


REGISTRATION FOR LTS SUMMER SESSION #1

*Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close when capacity is reached.
Classes not meeting size requirements
may be cancelled or combined.

USFS membership fees expire annually on June 30 - regardless of when a skater's most recent membership was purchased:

All Skaters Participating in Learn to Skate, REGARDLESS of when 2022-2023 membership was purchased will be required to pay/renew an $19.00 mandatory non-refundable LTS USA Fee (Valid July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024).

Registrations for returning members received after
10:00 a.m. Monday of Week #1 will incur a $25 late registration fee.
Skaters registering after online registration is closed must contact Admin for assistance.

LEARN TO SKATE USA REGISTRATION

LTS USA

All skaters and participants are required to pay and renew the $19.00 mandatory Learn to Skate USA Membership Fee annually. Valid July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024.

Current members of a US Figure Skating Club, are required to purchase a Learn to Skate USA membership to participate in the Ice Den’s Learn to Skate classes.  USFS and Learn to Skate USA are two separate membership programs.

Learn to Skate Manager


Level A Classes & Times

Level A / Pre-Hockey / Parent & Pups / Adult-Teen

  • Snowplow Sam 1, 2, 3 (ages 4-5)
  • Basic 1, 2, 3 (ages 6 and up)
  • Pre-Hockey 1, 2, 3 (ages 4 and up. All skaters must be able to skate across the ice unassisted in hockey skates forward, backward, and glide on 1 foot.)
  • Adult/Teen (ages 13 and up)
  • Parent & Pups: 2.5  - 5 years with an adult

Parent + Pup Bundle
For any participants new to the Ice Den Chandler LTS Parent + Pup program.  Price includes one (1) x 45 minute class per week plus two LTS USA memberships.

All Level A classes will be
45 minutes.

All Level B&C classes will be

Safety Requirements & Guidelines

  • Masks optional for all skaters and spectators.  Complimentary disposable masks are available if needed.
  • Skaters/spectators who are currently sick, recently sick, symptomatic or high-risk/vulnerable to illness: DO NOT come to the rink.
  • Social distancing encouraged at all times in the building, including locker room and ice.
  • Do not bring valuables into the building. The Ice Dens are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Skaters are encouraged to bring own tissues and personal sanitized wipes/sanitizer.
  • Follow all posted signs and guidelines.
  • Limit time spent in the facility that is outside of scheduled ice slot. Arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session and leave promptly at its conclusion.
  • Enter the rink through the properly designated doors at main building entrance.
  • Participation by online registration in advance only.
  • Two (2) spectators recommended per skater.
