Learn to Skate 2021

Learn to Skate Updated Policies

The Ice Den Chandler is committed to offering our nationally recognized Learn to Skate program.  Adjustments to program policies and requirements have been made to ensure a safe environment for all skaters and coaches. Any previous policies have been replaced indefinitely.

Until Further Notice:

  • Registration MUST be completed online.  No paper forms accepted at this time.
  • Class Capacity: Registration will be capped and a waitlist generated to ensure class numbers are in line with public health concerns at time of session.  The Ice Den will reevaluate roster numbers prior to the first week of class and make adjustments to levels based on real-time information. 
  • Registration will be available by session only.  No multi-session discounts will be offered.
  • Additional class and sibling discounts are not offered.
  • Masks optional for all skaters and spectators.  Complimentary disposable masks are available if needed.
  • Due to current capacity restrictions and ice schedule changes, make-up class skating passes will not be offered at this time.

2021 SUMMER LTS #2 REGISTRATION FEES


Summer Session #2:
Wednesday, June 30 - Saturday, August 7, 2021

Level A:
45 minute class: $130

Parent & Pup: $145

Level B & C:
60 minute class
Wednesday: $145

*Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close when capacity is reached.
Classes not meeting size requirements may be cancelled or combined.


REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER SESSION #2 WILL OPEN: TUESDAY, JUNE 1 AT 2:00 PM


USFS membership fees expire annually on June 30 - regardless of when a skater's most recent membership was purchased:

ALL Summer Session #2 participants are required to pay/renew an $18.00 mandatory non-refundable LTS USA Fee (Valid July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022).

All skaters and participants are required to pay the $18.00 mandatory US Figure Skating Fee annually. Valid July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022.

Level A Classes & Times

Level A / Pre-Hockey / Parent & Pups / Adult-Teen

  • Snowplow Sam 1, 2, 3 (ages 4-5)
  • Basic 1, 2, 3 (ages 6 and up)
  • Pre-Hockey 1, 2, 3 (ages 4 and up. All skaters must be able to skate across the ice unassisted in hockey skates forward, backward, and glide on 1 foot.)
    **Pre hockey is not available Wednesday at 5:00 PM
  • Adult/Teen (ages 13 and up)
  • Parent & Pups: 2.5  - 5 years with an adult

All Level A classes will be
45 minutes.

DAY TIME
Wednesday 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. **No Pre-Hockey
Wednesday 5:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday 4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Friday 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm

Level B/C Classes & Times

Level B

  • Basic 4A – Basic 6

Level C

  • Pre-Free Skate – Preliminary

*Elite classes are currently on hiatus.

All Level B&C classes will be
60 minutes.

Friday 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Saturday 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Safety Requirements & Guidelines

  • Masks optional for all skaters and spectators.  Complimentary disposable masks are available if needed.
  • Skaters/spectators who are currently sick, recently sick, symptomatic or high-risk/vulnerable to illness: DO NOT come to the rink.
  • Class Capacity: Registration will be capped and a waitlist generated to ensure class numbers are in line with public health concerns at time of session.  The Ice Den will reevaluate roster numbers prior to the first week of class and make adjustments to levels based on real-time information. 
  • Social distancing encouraged at all times in the building, including locker room and ice.
  • Do not bring valuables into the building. The Ice Dens are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Skaters are encouraged to bring own tissues and personal sanitized wipes/sanitizer.
  • Follow all posted signs and guidelines.
  • Limit time spent in the facility that is outside of scheduled ice slot. Arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session and leave promptly at its conclusion.
  • Enter the rink through the properly designated doors at main building entrance.
  • Participation by online registration in advance only.
  • Two (2) spectators recommended per skater.
