Learn to Skate 2021

Learn to Skate Updated Policies

The Ice Den Chandler is committed to offering our nationally recognized Learn to Skate program.  Adjustments to program policies and requirements have been made to ensure a safe environment for all skaters and coaches. Any previous policies have been replaced through the end of 2020.

Until Further Notice:

  • Registration MUST be completed online.  No paper forms accepted at this time.
  • Class Capacity: Registration will be capped and a waitlist generated to ensure class numbers are in line with public health concerns at time of session.  The Ice Den will reevaluate roster numbers prior to the first week of class and make adjustments to levels based on real-time information. 
  • Registration will be available by session only.  No multi-session discounts will be offered.
  • Register early to secure your spot and save with Early Registration pricing.
  • Additional class and sibling discounts are not offered.
  • Gloves are required and masks must be worn by skaters and spectators off ice at all times.
  • Due to current capacity restrictions and ice schedule changes, make-up class skating passes will not be offered at this time.

All skaters and participants are required to pay the $16.00 mandatory US Figure Skating Fee annually. Valid July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021.

Early Registration = $125
Regular Registration = $140

Saturday, 12:15 p.m. = 5 week session - No Class 4/10
Register before March 28, for early registration

Early Registration = $104
Regular Registration = $117

*Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close when capacity is reached.
Classes not meeting size requirements may be cancelled or combined.

Level A / Pre-Hockey / Parent & Pups / Adult-Teen

  • Snowplow Sam 1, 2, 3 (ages 4-5)
  • Basic 1, 2, 3 (ages 6 and up)
  • Pre-Hockey 1, 2, 3 (ages 4 and up. All skaters must be able to skate across the ice unattended in hockey skates) 
    **Pre hockey is not available Wednesday at 4:45 PM
  • Adult/Teen (ages 13 and up)
  • Parent & Pups: 2.5  - 5 years with an adult

*Elite classes are currently on hiatus.

*All Level classes will be
45 minutes.

Safety Requirements & Guidelines

  • All skaters/spectators must wear a mask/face covering at all times off-ice in the facility including locker rooms.  Masks can be worn on the ice but it is not mandatory. Complimentary disposable masks are available if needed.
  • Gloves are required and must be worn on the ice.
  • Skaters/spectators who are currently sick, recently sick, symptomatic or high-risk/vulnerable to illness: DO NOT come to the rink.
  • Class capacity will be limited.
  • Social distancing encouraged at all times in the building, including locker room and ice.
  • Do not bring valuables into the building. The Ice Dens are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Skaters are encouraged to bring own tissues and personal sanitized wipes/sanitizer.
  • Follow all posted signs and guidelines.
  • Limit time spent in the facility that is outside of scheduled ice slot. Arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session and leave promptly at its conclusion.
  • Enter the rink through the properly designated doors at main building entrance.
  • Participation by online registration in advance only.
  • Two (2) spectators permitted per skater.  No siblings please.
