Why 18 Degrees?
If you were to talk to rink managers throughout the country you might hear differences in opinion as to what the ideal ice temperature for quality ice should be. Many factors including De-humidification, temperature, air conditioning, climate and water quality affect the ice making process, with the range generally between 15 - 23 Degrees.
In Arizona, and at the Ice Dens, we believe the ideal temperature is a cool 18 Degrees.

Based on the ice surface schedule, 18° Express will be CLOSED from December 22nd through January 1st.
We look forwarding to celebrating the new year with you on January 2nd when we open at 5:00 p.m. through close.
The Chilly Bean Café will be open serving our Express Eats and concession favorites like Icees and popcorn.

18° Express is conveniently located inside of the Ice Den Chandler.
18° Express is the best place to catch the action on the East Rink, re-hydrate and refuel after a game, watch sports, hang out with friends and enjoy the complete Ice Den experience.
